R'belle Spring/Summer 2013
Scotch R’Belle has a bright and colourful summer ahead, full of vivid sunlight and outdoor adventures. As the Scotch & Soda girls collection hits another season, it’s clear how R’Belle has matured to a brand that is loved for its own signature approach to kids fashion. Each item is carefully designed from the comfortable materials and the rich details to the hidden jokes on labels and hang tags.
This season, the R’Belle collection revolves around four key themes. ‘Villa Patchwork’ is the story of a world traveler, collecting souvenirs along the way. Expect a hodgepodge of colours, patterns and materials, with splashes of neon and lots of all-over prints. Mix it all like a chameleon, with the free spirit of a butterfly! This quirky mix of themes comes to life in a leather college jacket with all-over pink Hawaiian floral print and solid army-coloured sleeves. Or a sprayed tape- yarn cotton knit jumper with repairs in colourful ribbons. Items like jackets, pants and sweats come with a flower hang tag and fold-out flower boxes. A little ‘Aloha’ from R’Belle.
For ‘Indigo & The Gypsies’, little miss R’Belle travels from country to coast like a nomad without a care in the world. With her hair still salty from the sea, this girl dresses in light weight summer cottons, Navajo prints, lots of tie-dye in sea colours. One of her favourites is a comfy, breezy summer dress with embroideries in natural colours. Several items even come with silky feather accessories. After all this outdoor fun, it’s time for ‘Lazy Days’: the makings of a surf chick in the city. Feeling a bit bored? The ‘Lazy Days’ graphics on hoods and tees will provide tips and tricks. What to do? Daydreaming, finding cloud figures, thinking up stories... What to wear? Off-whites are mixed with neon, like thick linen shorts with airbrushed neon and a bright pull with an eco linen collar. Watch out for neon pops in surf cords, sequins and belts! All these after-surf garments are all equally comfortable, like dresses, sweats and tees. They’re highlighted with a special hangtag, just look for the sea horse!
‘Viva la Flamingo’ is R’Belle’s go-to for 50s pastels galore! Mini patterns are mixed with tie-dye solid ice-cream colours and washed-out pastels for a dressed-up rockabilly feel. A lot of lace, flowers, crochet and polkadots for a real girly girl, but like a true R’belle she mixes it up with some rock ‘n roll combats for that effortless cool style. She loves her diadems with little lace ears in happy colours and straw hats with Hawaiian flowers to top it off.By the name of Amsterdams Blauw – the Scotch & Soda denim collection – R’Belle offers all the blue essentials that girls could wish for. Colour pops of minty green, whites and neons keep it light and beachy. Pants come in all-over prints like batik and florals. Barfly Spring/Summer 2013
After 27 years of building and expanding their brand, the creative team at Scotch & Soda has realized a long lived dream and proudly present their first perfume entitled BARFLY. Amsterdams Blauw Scotch & Soda Spring/Summer 2013
Scotch & Soda Amsterdams Blauw offers all the blue essentials that indigo addicts and denim gentlemen cannot go without. Denim is a tuxedo and a comfy pajama all at once. For Spring/Summer 2013, expect classic blues as well as eye-catching fashion pieces with ridiculously good detailing. This season’s theme is ‘A trip down memory lane’, telling the story about a man that’s travelled all around the world, taking all his best memories home in denim as souvenirs. Every crease, every stain, every rip tells a story. The shades of this collection range from the lovely dark, worn in ‘Souvenir’ wash, right down to the super light ‘Fresh Air’. The look for this summer is dressed up like a St. Tropez Sartorialist.
Top to toe in classics, wearing those sunshine and coral chino shorts with blue espadrilles and a soft-scraped chambray blazer. Or a sun- bleached standard slim fit ‘Ralston’ with a boat rope tied in a knot as a belt, dressed up with leather brogues for a night on the terrace. The wardrobe favourite loose tapered Denim Chino in ‘Archive Pick’ explores the brand’s love for luxury and modern heritage. For a more rock’ n roll fashion style, the new skinny fit ‘Skim’ in black over dye is Amsterdams Blauw’s skinniest fit to date. Signature slim fit ‘Gitane’ now comes in a 12.5 oz blue selvedge by the name of ‘Second Sense’.
This one is the essence ofAmsterdams Blauw from warp to weft. A fresh classic. For those true denim heads, the new limited edition ‘Sakui’ is the go-to for a full-on 14 oz. Japanese selvedge denim with fine multicoloured naps on the weft, that will subtly push through the fabric’s surface more as you wear them in. A little inside joke: this collection holds three different selvedge options – red, white and blue – together forming the colours of the Dutch flag. Last but not least, if you ask the designers, the worn and washed ‘Green Grass’ broken twill styled up with a work wear jacket and clean white tee is the Amsterdams Blauw uniform for an endless summer to remember.

Amsterdams Blauw Maison Scotch Spring/Summer 2013
Maison Scotch Amsterdams Blauw is the go-to for all ladies denim essentials. For Spring/Summer 2013, expect all those must-have classic indigo washes in fashion fits, as well as some bright colour pops and tie-dye specials that will blow you away.
This season’s theme is ‘A trip down memory lane’; reminiscing of travels around the globe, inspired by different cultures and collecting souvenirs. But not souvenirs in the literal sense: what tells a story better than the denim piled up in your wardrobe? Every ripple, every scratch, every fade is a narrative. Take the ‘Garcon’ new boyfriend fit, hanging low on the hips with a slightly tapered leg. It’s a perfect match in the ‘First Love’ vintage wash with white selvedge that got nicely softened from the endless summers on sandy beaches. The new boot cut ‘Jolie’ has an effortless, casual attitude. It goes from barefoot- on-the-beach to rock ‘n roll festival vibes. Especially when you wear it with a printed white ‘Memory’ tee and denim jacket. Or take the new ‘PJ’s Pant’; a low-waist, dropped crotch carrot style pant with a pleated front in light weight fabrics. This silhouette also comes in a cute shorter version by the name of ‘Bloomer short’. Tapping into this season’s denim trends, the Maison Scotch signature ‘Parisienne’ skinny now comes in all-over Ikat laser print, garment-dyed poppy neon colours, all-over flower prints and gorgeous tie-dye options. The summer fashion items you cannot go without! It’s great to combine this style with one of the refined tops in the collection, like the silky blue shirt that’s printed double-sided with arrows on the outside, and the stripes within subtly shining through. Last but not least, all the girls at the design office have fallen in love with new high waist fit ‘Haut’. It comes in super feminine rinse washes in high-performance stretch fabrics and bleached- out blues. Rock that high waist like your mother did in the 70s!
