Aanyoung and her sparkling personality have been part of the Scotch & Soda team for a while now. As a designer for Scotch Shrunk and Scotch R’Belle, she’s one of the talented people behind these cool collections for boys and girls. Aanyoung regards herself as being a very happy person, but who wouldn’t be when you get to work with all these fun clothes every day?

When you think of Tessy, you think of fashion. As an editor for Glamour magazine, she’s constantly surrounded by the latest trends, designers and items, so she’s always on top of her fashion game. Tessy’s friends will tell you she’s also a warm, friendly and positive person and according to her we have Amsterdam to thank for that: the city makes her feel alive.

We visit Frank and his flower shop Prinselijk Gebonden on a regular basis and he just keeps surprising us with his stunning flowers and bouquets. Apart from the colourful seasonal blooms he also specialises in roses, one smelling even better than the other. For Frank, nothing beats the feeling he gets by making people happy with his passion for flowers.

Meet Orpheo, who runs the Amsterdam Fashion Institute’s ‘By Amfi’ statement store. With a team of passionate students he presents a new concept store every four months on the Spui square in Amsterdam. Orpheo is also an interior and exhibiton designer, so it’s safe to say he’s a very creative person. Why he loves Amsterdam? Because he can be his creative self in every possible way.

Marieke is a member of Scotch & Soda’s marketing team, where creating new concepts is part of her daily routine. She’s very passionate about her job and to her it doesn’t feel like work at all. Her goal is to live life to the fullest: travelling, chilling with friends, listening to music and riding her bike through the city contribute to this philosophy.

Jeffrey is part of our Huidenstraat store team, working as a Stylist. He enjoys being surrounded by the latest Scotch & Soda collections and isn’t’ afraid to step out of his fashion-comfort-zone and sport a bright red dandy style jacket. Other than that he mostly wears denim, so it makes sense his favourite colour is indigo!

As a Fashion Host, Kelly is responsible for our Huidenstraat store in Amsterdam. Together with her team of Stylists she makes sure you get the full Scotch experience when you’re shopping in the store. It’s no secret Kelly’s favourite colour is red; so she wouldn’t mind to dress up in this colour from head to toe every single day.

Arend is what you would call a genuine nice guy: open, friendly and funny. Together with his colleagues, he makes sure Bar Moustache feels like your second home; a place where you can spend your entire Saturday drinking coffee and catching up with friends. And that’s exactly why he loves working here!

As the Fashion Host of our Amsterdams Blauw store in the 9 Streets area, Koen welcomes people into our wonderful world of denim every day. According to this aficionado, it is the best denim store in town. Koen proudly states Amsterdam is the most rocking city in the world and the canals, parks and people all contribute to that fact.

Ana has recently started working with us, but it’s very clear she fits the Scotch family perfectly. Together with Aanyoung and the kid’s design team, she’s partly responsible for designing the Scotch Shrunk and Scotch R’Belle collections for boys and girls. Even though she thinks she was supposed to be born as a mermaid, Ana’s glad to be part of Amsterdam, working and living in the heart of the city.

Born in South-Africa and having lived in several places, England and the Netherlands to name but a few, Oliver is here to stay: working for the Maison Scotch production department for over two years now. He’s definitely someone who adds colour to the Scotch team, always full of energy and in for a good laugh. No wonder if you look at his motto to live by!

In order to work for a store like Mendo, it is a major plus point to adore books. Gunifort definitely has this quality and according to him, he feels lucky he gets to be around the most beautiful books every day. Not only does his personal style fit the interior of the store; his broad range of interests matches the topics on the shelves as well.

She loves Amsterdam for its atmosphere and feels blessed to have such a great view on the canal from her very own living room. What Lieke also loves is the Scotch & Soda clothing, so working as a Stylist in our Huidenstraat store is no punishment at all. Together with the other Stylists, she makes sure people leave with a new outfit and a smile on their face every day.

When entering Boca’s, you’re enthusiastically greeted by three guys: the owners of this “drinks & bites” restaurant. They’re good friends with each other, which explains their energy and the positive atmosphere at Boca’s. Located in the heart of our favourite Jordaan area, this is your go-to for fresh drinks, a nice vibe and most important: delicious food.

Meet Alex, our very own “denim aficionado” and one of the creative blue brains behind our Amsterdams Blauw line. Something not everyone knows, is that he’s also a family man with a very warm and friendly character. At Scotch, Alex is known for his impeccable sense of style, sporting original outfits with, of course, always a touch of denim.

She thinks she’s a “total nerd” because she’s so much into photography, but we reckon that’s why she’s a perfect match to be working at the Lomography Store. Surrounded by all these colourful cameras, creative people and their interesting pictures, Madri gets to experience the colours of Amsterdam in a unique way.

Hanneke is what we call a Stylist, giving everyone who comes to our store the best advice and a pleasant shopping experience. While Hanneke loves the busy city life of Amsterdam, she also enjoys escaping it every now an then to go horseback riding in the forest.

In his neighbourhood, everyone knows Jan and his little supermarket. Over the last 65 years people drop by on a daily base for a piece of Gouda cheese, a pack of cigarettes, and other small groceries. Jan loves his job because he gets to connect with his customers, and that’s exactly why everyone keeps coming: a nice chitchat and a friendly smile is always included.

Tommy Hagen is the creative force behind hair salon Tommyz Toko. The shop reflects his wide range of interests; from the stacks of books and magazines lying around to the collection of vintage tea cups, the art on the walls and - of course - all the love that goes into creating the perfect new 'do for each client.

Jelmer is one of the faces of our "Denim Deli" in the Berenstraat, the store we dedicated to our Amsterdams Blauw line. Even though he loves to work for a fashion brand and his favourite colour is (obviously) blue, he doesn’t believe clothes or colours define someone’s identity.
